More about Myriad
Your community, Your place to belong
Since 2007, we’ve been here for adults over 18 with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), along with their families and carers.
We believe in creating days that are fun, stimulating, and meaningful—supporting each person as they transition from school into adulthood and beyond.
Whether you’re with us for a short time or for life, our goal is simple: to be a place where everyone feels they truly belong.
The Myriad Centre is everything.
It has given me a new lease of life and it keeps my daughter on an even keel. Her Myriad support worker is quiet with her, calm, and listens to her. You have to listen to someone with special needs, like my daughter, and be patient. The staff do a fantastic job and when my daughter comes home, she is happy and relaxed. My daughter is more settled since she has been at Myriad and the Centre is helping me out in later life. It is a miracle to me.

Here’s a glimpse into a typical day
Morning Pick-Up
Our day begins bright and early at 7 am, as our drivers and transport assistants set out to pick up clients across Worcestershire. As soon as clients step onto one of our three minibuses, their day with Myriad begins—whether socialising with friends, enjoying the scenery, or interacting with our friendly transport team.
Arrival at 9 am
Once at the centre, our care team helps everyone settle in comfortably. Depending on individual needs, clients might relax with a bit of water therapy, unwind in our sensory room, or engage in some gentle physiotherapy.
Activities from 10 am
Our mornings are packed with engaging activities designed around each client’s preferences and goals. From arts and crafts to music therapy, gardening, cooking, and walks, every day brings something new. Our care staff ensure each client is involved and having a good time, while our physiotherapist and team provide individual exercises and stretches to support physical well-being.
Lunchtime at 12 pm
Akorfa, our wonderful cook, prepares nutritious hot meals every day, catering to individual dietary needs—from smooth, easy-to-eat textures to full roasts for those who enjoy a hearty meal. There’s always a delicious main course and dessert to savour.
Afternoon Visitors at 1pm
Afternoons bring exciting visitors, from ZAM, our dance group that gets everyone moving, to Glamba drumming sessions, and even Animalmania with their friendly animals. It’s a time for everyone to connect, experience new things, and enjoy a vibrant social atmosphere.
Homeward Bound at 3 pm
At the end of the day, our transport team arrives to take clients home, where they can unwind with family. Parents and carers receive a detailed update in each client’s communication book, so they can hear all about the day’s adventures.
Then, it’s time to rest up for another great day tomorrow!
