We are thrilled to announce that The Myriad Centre has been awarded a remarkable £360,000 Reaching Communities Lottery grant, spread over the next three years.
This generous funding will enable us to launch a new sustainability project that secures the future of Myriad and ensures we continue to deliver the highest standard of care to our clients.
What are we doing?
In recent years, we have faced an increasing gap between the funding we receive and the true cost of the running the service. This has put pressure on us as a charity to make up the difference through continuous fundraising. This Lottery grant will enable us to take critical proactive steps towards becoming a sustainable organisation, including:
Researching Future Needs: We will assess the requirements of the next generation of adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), ensuring our services are equipped to meet their evolving needs.
Covering Running Costs: Over the next three years, the funding will help close our current financial gap while providing us with the opportunity to explore new, sustainable income streams.
With this grant in place, we are now in a stronger position to plan strategically, allowing us to focus on long-term sustainability rather than constantly “chasing our tail.”
