Music Therapy
We offer music therapy sessions, which take place several times a week.
These sessions provide an invaluable release from all the tensions of living with PMLD and help improve communication and socialisation skills, emotional wellbeing and make a major contribution to our clients’ quality of life.
Brings about positive changes in mood
Music therapy helps with developing physical, sensory, and cognitive skills and brings about positive changes in mood. It’s a great way for our clients to explore and connect with the world and express themselves.
Salena, Client Care Co-ordinator
Many people with PMLD have significant communication difficulties, which can make it hard for them to express their emotions and feelings.
Improvised music-making can be used to create meaning and an outlet for feelings such as isolation and frustration as well as happiness and joy.
